– Lets’ get to the Axe House –

We do not have a minimum age for axe throwing. Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a legal guardian who will sign their waiver on site.

All throwing takes place under direct supervision of our experienced coaches, and we have dozens of protective measures in place, such as chain link fencing and a separated spectator area for guests who aren’t throwing.

We’ve instructed many people with physical disabilities, and axe throwing is a highly accessible sport for those with limited mobility.

Our only restriction on clothing is that close-toed shoes are required; otherwise you’re welcome to wear whatever you’d like.  We recommend avoiding high heels, and wear something comfortable and loose enough to allow for a full range of movement.

You’re welcome to bring your own outside food and beverages; absolutely no alcohol allowed on premises.

For a $3.00 plating fee per person, you are welcome to bring food for your guests or have it delivered, so long as it is prepared off-site. Outside desserts such as cakes, pies and cupcakes are exempt from platting fee charge.

We have pre-packaged snacks available for purchase, including Beef Jerky, Chips and even fresh-popped popcorn.

Most definitely – it’s our favorite part of this experience! You will be greeted by an instructor who’ll be there for you as much as you need. You’ll start your adventure learning the basic techniques and safety rules with axe throwing. With our Axe instructors teaching you, your practice and by following our guided procedures, you will be able to safely throw an axe early in your session.

Coming in for a booked event or walk-in session? We’ve got you covered. From small and stealthy to the biggest (and safest) we could find – we’ve got axes!

Our league organization WATL (World Axe Throwing League) regulations require each participant provide their own axe.

As an event-based business, The Agawam Axe House has limited regularly scheduled retail hours which are our weekly walk-in axe throwing sessions. Axe throwing bookings, throwing events and leagues can be scheduled 5 days a week from noon – 10pm.

We run leagues throughout the year. Our leagues are 7 weeks plus playoffs. It is $120 per person plus tax per person. All players must have their own NATF approved axe. We will be accepting only 30 people per league. We will be announcing League Dates shortly, so please join our mailing list for the latest info.
